Why We Are Building Cross Ridge
In memory of a gentle soul who gave us everything.
The Inspiration: Isabeau
Isabeau was more than a dog. She was our gentle giant, our protector, our peace. She lived on this land with us — not just in a house, but as the heartbeat of everything good here. She played in the field, napped in the sun, watched over the others, and brought a quiet kind of joy that filled every corner of this place that was her home.
Cross Ridge was born not because she needed more — but because she gave so much. Her love, her steadiness, and her loyalty shaped this space into something sacred.
We created Cross Ridge so other pets can feel what she made us feel: safe, seen, and endlessly loved.

“How Much Sleep Do Dogs Really Need?”
At Cross Ridge Pet Lodge & Spa, we believe rest is just as important as play — and that’s not just us making excuses to cuddle on the couch with your pup (though we totally will).
So how much sleep do dogs really need?
🐶 Sleep by Age Group
Puppies: 18–20 hours/day
Adult dogs: 12–14 hours/day
Senior dogs: 14–18 hours/day
You might notice your pup snoozing after a big play session — that’s normal! Sleep is how they recover, reset, and stay emotionally balanced.
🏡 Why Sleep Matters at Cross Ridge
In a new environment, rest can be tricky. That’s why we’re designing spaces that promote relaxation:
Private pods with soft bedding
Aromatherapy options like lavender and chamomile
Calming music during rest periods
A designated DayLodge Nap Zone for midday breaks
Our goal? Help your dog feel so comfortable, they nap like they own the place (which, honestly, they kind of do).
📣 Is Your Dog a Snoozer or a Zoomer?
Some dogs nap in sunbeams. Others sprint laps at midnight.
Which one do you have? Take our quick survey and tell us how your pup prefers to recharge! Click on the QR code to the right!
